Leslie Morman

My name is Leslie Morman.  I am a third generation native of Buffalo, Texas.  I graduated in 1992 from Buffalo High School.  I attended Stephen F. Austin University, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in 2007.  Teaching in my hometown was a blessing.  I taught third and fourth grade before graduating from Lamar University in May 2018, with a Master’s degree in school counseling.  I am a 9-year breast cancer survivor.  My two grown children are my best accomplishment.  They are both graduates of Buffalo High School, having attended kindergarten through 12th grade here.

I am committed to ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of my students at Buffalo Elementary.  I strive to take a proactive approach through guidance activities such as character education and classroom opportunities.  My “open-door” policy encourages my elementary friends to come see me through a variety of means including:

- Teacher referral
- Self-referral
- Parent-referral
- Friend-referral
- Administration referral

Services offered to all students include group counseling and individual counseling.  Through a solution-focused approach, we will be able to focus primarily on the solution, rather than the problem.  Students are encouraged to see me for a variety of issues including problems with friends, divorce, stress, crisis intervention, and grief or loss.
